The Meropa Enterainment World has a Casino and a variety of interesting activities on offer which include the Cultural Fair and Market featuring exceptional art and craft, the Magic Speedway go-cart tracks for young and young at heart, the Amphitheatre featuring shows and entertainment.
WildThingz Garden featuring a Bird and Reptile Park, Butterfly Park and Insectariums - the butterflies here are unique because they are indigenous, a world first. There is also a Bird of Prey Centre where visitors can see the world's fastest, the Peregrine Falcon amongst other species.
On the outskirts of the city is the Polokwane Game Reserve, well stocked with 21 species of game including the White Rhino, visitors can see a lot of the park in a short period of time - it does get very hot so it is best to venture out early in the day. There is an aloe forest and unique local vegetation not found any where else. There are great walks and a hiking trail too.
In the city of Polokwane, visitors can enjoy the wide streets, parks and many Jacaranda trees when they bloom in the spring. There is the Bakone Malapa Northern Sotho Open-Air Museum, the Hugh Exton Photographic Museum, the Library Gardens and art gallery.
